I LOVE this mat!!! After years of using a cheapo PVC mat, I was stunned at how this mat changed my practice. My hands don't move anymore during downdog and standing poses like warrior 2, so I can actually work on my alignment or getting deeper into a pose rather than struggling to not fall like before. This mat is heavy enough that it doesn't move or roll up on the edges like the cheap ones you see.

I've heard people complain about the initial rubber smell, but it never bothered me and quickly went away.

I use my mat 4-5 times per week for a vigorous vinyasa practice, and the only downside to this mat is that it eventually breaks down. After about a year, I noticed that teeny holes had started to develop in the mat. They're not big enough to bother me, but I'm assuming I'll have to buy another mat in a few years.
